 Dr. Matti Vazeen M.D. Dr. Matti Vazeen is a board-certified ophthalmologist. Dr. Vazeen graduated from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago and completed his residency in ophthalmology at LSU-Ocshner in New Orleans. LASIK and PRK were first performed at LSU Ocshner in the early eighties. Dr. Vazeen has been involved in refractive surgery since 1994 and is certified on three Excimer lasers and three different flap makers. He has therefore performed thousands of successful procedures and has taught LASIK to other US surgeons. Dr. Vazeen has also been a clinical investigator for the Excimer laser prior to FDA approval in the United States. Dr. Vazeen is personally involved in all aspects of your care.
